Leeron Silberberg

My name is Leeron and I am a first year student at Alliant International University pursuing a Psy.D in Clinical Psychology. I come from a background of acting and performance, and have brought the passion for creativity, and the curiosity about human nature, into my work and studies. Mental health and psychology have always been topics of high interest and importance to me.

As part of my first year practicum I had the pleasure of joining the Life Skills family and learning a great deal from staff and consumers alike. Being at Life Skills has taught me the complexity of providing treatment and intervention to a population with dual diagnosis of psychiatric disorders in categories including developmental, mood, and personality. As part of my work at Life Skills I have developed counseling and interventions groups for the consumers, learned to work with alternative delivery methods during the COVID-19 pandemic, assisted with administrative work, and provided support to my fellow interns.

In the future, I plan to pursue assessment and psychodiagnostic testing, as well as CBT based intervention. I would like to work with individuals as well as couples, and hope to have my own private practice one day.
