Araceli Leanos

Direct Care Staff

Hi, my name is Araceli, I’m from Mexico. I live in the area of Pacoima, I’m on staff (trainer, instructor) for people with disabilities. I work for a program called Life Skills. Life Skills is a day program for adults where we teach them how to be independent and also to meet their goals.

I chose this kind of job because I have a family member with special needs as well as I really enjoy helping and giving the best of me to all these people. I’m a single mother, I have one son. His name is Jessy, he is 21 years old, he finished his X-Ray technician career which I am really proud of. I love spending time with my loved ones and listening to music. In my free times, I love to be home and relax. Something that I hate is discrimination and judging without reason. That's something that really irritates me and I will always be against it. I love my job and I love working for the Life Skills Program and helping those in need.

Our Mission

Our job program is based on the idea that "job success" is how well we get along with others.
